I was so eager to get some photos on my flickr acount after I bought my camera yesterday that I couldn’t wait to be near a coffee machine or indeed anything related to coffee to start snapping away. I think I took the best photo I’ve ever taken last night. Some pice bellow.
Don’t worry I’ll have some coffee pics in the very near future, in the mean time I hope you like these water and flower shots.

And Finally…….my best photo so far.

Today I went a bit mad and totally bypassed Santa Claus’s plan to get me a Camera for Christmas.
Spurred on by my commitment to cover the Scottish leg of the UKBC on my blog I have a new Weapon, the Nikon D40 (see above). So with that choice I have spurned the Canon option and joined the ‘Dark side’ with Nikon. This is my first digital SLR and I’m a very happy little barista.
I’m sure I’ll be posting some lens splattering macro pictures very soon.
After a failed attempt to buy a new camera yesterday I have started to learn more about my existing cameras features and how to use it manually rather than relying on the automatic settings. The chap at Jessops gave me far too much information and made me realise that I was just being stupid in thinking that a new camera would make my pictures better. I shall bash on with the one I have until I have reached its limitations. To that end here is today’s tamper study in macro. Enjoy……or not, depending on your opinion of my skills.
